![]() ![]() Was a very reputable seller and reassured me that it was a full retail version. ![]() So it makes it that I wouldn't be able to run the X3 and X5 (an upgrade) that I currently legally own on two different computers if I wanted, or just not at the same time? While I could run my X5 on two computers IF not at the same time? Makes you think and see the possible complexities right there.Īnyway, I went for it already and got myself a stand-alone copy of X7 from an Amazon vendor for US $210.05 on Sunday. Probably a good decision, this way people who buy the old copy would at least be able to keep their rights and those who upgrade and sell old version get screwed. Interesting that they shut off the upgrade program and not the version it was upgraded from though. I mean, from a consumer point of view, what makes used software different from a used car for instance? I may have one already and get myself a brand new one and keep one or both or sell one or both if I wanted, right?Īs for upgrading and selling an old copy, that obviously looks like a crafty trick some people may consider. Yes, as for the legality of reselling, I'd be surprised if wasn't so. What should I be looking out for and what my steps should be in order to obtain and be using a legitimate, upgradable, and sellable copy of CorelDraw X7 now? ![]() ![]() Is that an impediment for selling it in the future? to deal with.Īs I said CorelDraw X5 is already registered with Corel. Either of which, technically, I should be able to sell or upgrade in the future as I pleased.īut then again even assuming the seller is reputable, there seems to be a number a complexities that I know very little about like OEM and Licensed copies, serial numbers, authorization keys, registrations, etc. With the benefits that I would have yet another (upgraded and current) hard copy version of CorelDraw. What I noticed however is that a full standalone copy of X7 can be purchased for a not much more than an upgrade to X5 would cost me these days. I am a registered CorelDraw X5 user currently using a trial version of X7. Really confused by all the options and the seeming complexity involved. ![]()
